Nature's Coat Brush Plaster
Properties: Nature's Coat Brush Plaster is a decorative blend of Portland cement and natural clays together with various fillers and extenders. These are then enhanced with specially developed polymers to improve water repellency and adhesion to the substrate.
Benefits: The advantages of Nature's Coat Brush Plaster above that of acrylic coatings, is that they do not allow moisture to pass beyond the coating itself. Acrylic coverings do not have the breathability characteristics thus allowing moisture build-up beyond the covering. This moisture normally contains mineral salts that can break down the building structure. Cementatious coatings are based on organic elements and therefore are not effected by UFV degradation - this is a process whereby the organic element in acrylic paint, i.e. the crabon grain, is destroyed, which results in chalking.
Uses: Nature's Coat Brush Plaster may be used on external walls of houses, office blocks, concrete buildings, newly plastered surfaces, asbestos boards and also on painted walls by using Nature's Coat Adhesion Promoter prior to doing so.
